Part-Time Reading/ELA Tutor (Certified Teacher) – McDonough, GA

In-Home Tutors is seeking a qualified and compassionate tutor to support a middle school student in McDonough (zip code 30253). This student is a rising 8th grader in virtual school who needs help building reading comprehension and ELA skills. His reading level is currently estimated around 4th grade, and the family is looking for a tutor to help him get back to grade level.

Tutoring sessions will take place in the family’s home in McDonough, GA 30253. The student is available for one-on-one sessions on Fridays—either during the day or after regular school hours.

Requirements:

• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate (K–6, P–8, or Middle Grades ELA certification)
  
• Active PSC Certificate with Certification ID and PSC Field Code
  
• Bachelor's degree
  
• Prior tutoring or classroom teaching experience
  
• Must meet Georgia Promise Program eligibility (if participating)

• Skilled in reading intervention and foundational ELA strategies
  
• Organized and able to track and communicate student progress clearly

• Job Type: Part-time (Independent Contractor)
  
• Pay: $30.00/hour
  
• Location: In-person tutoring in McDonough, GA 30253
  
• Schedule: 1–2 sessions per week (Fridays, flexible hours)
