Program Overview

Comprised of social scientists, PhD-level researchers, and data scientists that bring a multidisciplinary approach to solving challenging applied research questions, this program sustains research to shape the face of personnel security and suitability for the DoD, IC, and federal goverment at large.

About The Role

Peraton is currently seeking a Behavioral Research Scientist to provide support for research and training course development projects in support of a DoD customer. 

This is a part-time role.

Location: Remote work allowed 100%.

In this role, you will conduct research using behavioral science principles, methodologies, and technologies in an applied government setting.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Supporting behavioral science and social science research projects for the Department of Defense.
• Work cooperatively with team members to ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy of research products.
• Writing reports and developing documentation.
• Supporting the development and instruction of course related to risk.
• Areas of research include but are not limited to the following:
  • Personnel Security Clearances
  • Personnel Placement and Suitability
  • Suicide Prevention
  • Sexual Assault Prevention and Response
  • Espionage and Insider Threat

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• 5 years of relevant experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• The ability to obtain/hold a Secret security clearance.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in a Behavioral Science field such as Psychology, Sociology, or Criminal Justice is highly preferred.

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
