University City Housing Company is a Philadelphia-based property management company with significant real estate holdings in and around the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Our current portfolio consists of 4,000 residential units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space. 

UCH is seeking a professional, organized Cleaner/Porter for our properties located near Bryn Mawr, PA who has a passion for cleanliness. The Porter/General Laborer will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all common areas including that WOW factor when you first walk into our properties.

Porter Duties include but are not limited to:

• Cleans all common areas daily, including vacuuming, dusting. Common areas include, but are not limited to: lobbies, hallways, dumpster areas, grounds, bathrooms, fire towers, laundry facilities
• Pull trash daily
• Replace light bulbs as necessary.
• Light maintenance as required.
• Bi-monthly inventory of supplies.
• Clean vacant apartments.
• Keep all vacant units and common areas fresh and odorless.
• Performs additional duties as requested by management.
• Assist in all trades and in snow removal.

Our Porter must have the following skills:

• Ability to be a team player who can work independently with minor supervision as well as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize urgent projects and work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
• Strong levels of communication (both written and spoken English)
• A valid driver's license 
• Ability to move heavy equipment and machinery
