Tired of being pulled in too many directions? Burned out by broken systems, poor communication, or leadership that doesn’t understand what it’s like in the field?
If you’re an experienced nurse who just wants to focus on providing excellent care to patients and families — without the noise, chaos, or guilt trips — we want to talk to you.
At VNA of Ohio , we believe in making things easier for the people doing the hardest work. That means clear expectations, responsive support, realistic caseloads, and leadership that gets it because we’ve been there too. Our team is rebuilding hospice the right way — with heart, honesty, and high standards.
What You’ll Do
Be the consistent, compassionate face for your patients and their families — guiding them through one of life’s most vulnerable chapters
Collaborate with physicians, aides, chaplains, and your fellow nurses to build and execute care plans that prioritize quality of life
Provide hands-on nursing care (pain and symptom management, medication administration, etc.) in the home setting
Document clearly and efficiently — not just to check a box, but to protect your patients and support your team
Educate, reassure, and empower families so they can feel confident caring for their loved one
Adapt your care to meet each patient's evolving needs, with support from a strong interdisciplinary team
Travel within a defined service area and manage your schedule with autonomy and integrity
What We’re Looking For
An experienced RN with hospice or palliative care background
Someone who is emotionally mature, clinically sharp, and committed to doing the right thing, even when it’s hard
A nurse who values clear communication, thrives in the field, and knows how to build trust with patients, families, and providers
An active Ohio RN license, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
Someone who knows the difference between “just showing up” and showing up for people
What You’ll Get
Competitive pay that honors your expertise and commitment
Mileage and uniform reimbursement
A supportive culture that values teamwork and transparency
A leadership team that listens, follows through, and cares about your professional growth
The satisfaction of knowing you’re truly making a difference — not just surviving your shift
This is a full-time, in-the-field position. No remote charting, no shortcuts. Just meaningful work, the way hospice is meant to be.
