At Country Manor in Sartell, MN, we're seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Assistant.

This is a part-time position, working 60 hours per pay period from 8:00 am- 2:30 pm, every other weekend, and every other holiday.

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will:

• Ensure that residents'/patients' personal clothing is identified, available, clean, and in good condition
• Use facility marking system and written procedures in relation to daily distribution to resident/patient rooms, individual clothing needs, and lost/misplaced items
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment in resident and laundry areas
• Perform housekeeping duties such as disinfecting, dusting, mopping, cleaning mirrors, walls, and floors, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, vacuuming, and other related duties.
• Use supplies according to manufacturer guidelines and maintain cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners, carts, vacuums, etc.
• Follow directions, use supplies per manufacturer guidelines, and take care of clothing and equipment
• Keep work area and utility rooms neat, orderly, and safe.
• Maintain good rapport with management, employees, residents, and residents' family members, while displaying patience, tact, and consideration.
• Refer all medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge.
• Complete all scheduled duties, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with housekeeping and laundry duties, with general knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and supplies, as well as the operation of the cleaning equipment is encouraged. We are happy to train if necessary
• A mechanical background is a bonus
• Knowledge of chemical use, hazardous waste, and infection control practices, or willingness to learn
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays
