Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Manager/Construction Manager (PM/CM) to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role will focus on overseeing civil infrastructure projects such as water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines. As a Project Manager, you will serve as the "Owner's Representative" for municipal and private projects, ensuring that each project is delivered with the highest quality standards. You'll collaborate closely with contractors, project team members, clients, and other technical experts to ensure projects are built according to plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight: Lead and manage one or more construction administration/inspection contracts, ensuring timely completion, quality, and financial success.
Team Leadership: Supervise and guide the work of project administration, special inspectors, and sub-consultants, including engineers, architects, surveyors, and construction quality control teams.
Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers to prioritize tasks and maintain positive relationships with owners, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Cost and Submittals: Assist with preparing cost estimates, reviewing submittals, and supporting the development of project budgets.
Communication and Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between project engineers, field staff, and clients, ensuring smooth communication and project execution.
Quality Assurance: Oversee construction projects to ensure compliance with contracts, performance standards, quality assurance, and engineering specifications.
Inspection and Certifications: Support field inspections and assist in obtaining necessary project certifications.
Financial Administration: Review and prepare pay applications, change orders, and manage financial aspects of the project.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in construction management, with 3+ years of supervising field and office technicians on public works construction projects.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
Licensing: A Professional Engineer (PE) License or the ability to obtain one within six months (preferred).
Leadership: Proven experience in client relationship management and leading field and office teams.
Project Delivery: Experience with alternative project delivery methods (Design/Build, CMGC, CMAR, P3) is highly desirable.
Problem-Solving: Ability to handle complex construction conflicts and resolve issues independently.
Team Development: Skills in mentoring and training junior staff.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate with clients and maintain successful, ongoing relationships.
Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets, schedules, and quality assurance/control teams.
