The Safety Coordinator plays an active role in promoting safety awareness and compliance. This position supports daily safety operations, conducts driver and ramp observations, and helps maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards at multiple airport locations.
• Perform driver safety and behavior observations at CSC ramps and airport ramp areas.
• Conduct regular field inspections of work areas, vehicles, and equipment to identify hazards.
• Support the Safety Coordinator in audits, investigations, and corrective action tracking.
• Maintain and organize safety records, training logs, and inspection reports. Assist in accident and near-miss reporting, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.
• Help coordinate and conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions.
• Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to ramp safety rules.
• Communicate daily safety reminders and report violations or unsafe acts immediately.
• Support compliance efforts during CBP, OSHA, and internal inspections. Travel between airport locations as required to provide coverage and support.
• Have eye or flair for security details and identify noncompliance activities.
• Support SIDA/Custom applications process.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in safety, ramp operations, or compliance preferred. Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, or airport safety standards is a plus.
• Fluency in English is an asset; bilingual communication (English/Spanish) is helpful. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and field observation skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in fast-paced operational environments.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
• Must pass security and background checks to obtain required SIDA and CBP credentials.
