About the Position

The company is seeking a dynamic Safety Manager to join their team and lead safety initiatives across their operations. In this role, you will develop and manage programs that reduce occupational risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs to minimize risks and financial losses.

  • Identify and appraise hazardous conditions, evaluating injury potential and system risks.

  • Lead research efforts to improve safety protocols and loss control measures.

  • Develop, deliver, and enforce safety training programs for all employees.

  • Analyze accident data and loss runs to identify trends and correct problem areas.

  • Manage compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, FRA, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Oversee Risk Management including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability claims.

  • Collaborate with HR, operations, and outside agencies to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.

  • Mentor and lead local safety professionals, fostering a proactive safety culture.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in the construction or industrial sectors.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Strong knowledge of federal safety regulations (OSHA, MSHA, DOT, FRA).

  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
