SAP S/4HANA Material Ledger & Actual Costing Specialist
US remote
Rate: $130/hr ( DOE)
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA professional with deep expertise in Material Ledger, Actual Costing, and Product Costing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing and enhancing costing solutions, including Alternative Valuation Runs, IFRS vs. GAAP actual costing, and custom developments related to statistical condition types and data flow controls. Knowledge of landed cost functionality in SAP is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the implementation of Material Ledger and Actual Costing in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring accurate and efficient cost management.
Implement and optimize Product Costing processes in S/4HANA, with a strong understanding of their implications for Material Ledger.
Design and execute Alternative Valuation Runs (AVR) in S/4HANA to support various business scenarios and reporting requirements.
Develop and implement solutions to manage Actual Costing differences between IFRS and GAAP, ensuring compliance and accurate financial reporting.
Build custom solutions to transfer costs to Actual Costing using statistical condition types, ensuring seamless integration with standard SAP processes.
Develop and implement custom enhancements in Material Ledger to control and restrict data flow to Actual Costing, based on business requirements.
Provide expertise and guidance on SAP Landed Cost functionality, including configuration, integration, and process optimization.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality results.
Conduct system testing, user training, and support go-live activities for costing-related projects.
Prepare functional specifications, documentation, and training materials as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Material Ledger and Actual Costing implementations.
Proven experience in Product Costing and its integration with Material Ledger in S/4HANA.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Alternative Valuation Run (AVR) in S/4HANA.
Demonstrated ability to implement solutions for Actual Costing differences between IFRS and GAAP.
Experience in developing custom solutions using statistical condition types for Actual Costing.
Hands-on experience with custom enhancements in Material Ledger to manage data flow to Actual Costing.
Solid understanding of SAP Landed Cost functionality and its application in business processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance or related modules is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in global SAP rollouts and multi-country implementations.
Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps related to costing and material ledger.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
