Senior Litigation Assistant/ Paralegal for Experienced Attorney

We are looking for a fast paced, multi-faceted Senior Litigation Assistant/Paralegal to support an experienced Attorney, in litigation duties.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with an experienced attorney to draft and review multiple legal documents daily: motions, pleadings, notices of deposition, discovery shells, subpoenas, settlement statements
• Filing in the Florida Courts e-Filing portal daily
• Provide daily follow ups with Opposing Counsel and third-party providers to set hearings, depositions, coordinate mediations, and prepare clients for meetings with the attorney
• Complete discovery with client and attorney: interrogatories, requests to produce, etc.
• Communicate specific and accurate information to the attorney, clients, and others
• Organize cases and calendar for Attorney
• Investigate facts to help in the resolution of legal disputes
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Record and store client information
• Legal Research
• Process checks
• Other tasks as requested by the Attorney or the firm

Qualifications:

• Civil litigation experience preferred but not required
• Highly organized 
• Self-motivated to anticipate and proactively assist in case needs
• Sticks to deadlines
• Strong ability to multitask
• Familiarity with legal research required
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
• Prior work experience as a litigation assistant/paralegal in civil, Plaintiff’s firm
• Experience working in Florida E-filing portal is required
• Working knowledge of County, Circuit, and Federal filing rules and regulations
• Must pass a background check
