Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff.
  • Oversees receiving and stowing, picking, and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation.
  • Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space.
  • Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials.
  • Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance.
  • Implement strong safety policies and procedures.
  • Organize supplies and equipment throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain inventory in addition to processing and packing orders to be delivered.
  • Verify orders prepared by warehouse staff are accurate before shipping.
  • Provide all documentation/information to drivers for pickup and delivery
  • You will always follow all OSHA safety guidelines.
    • Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse or inventory control experience.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in related field preferred
  • Forklift certification highly preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual speaker, English, Spanish.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Suite which includes Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings.
  • The ability to make decisions.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal with high pressure
  • Flexible schedule to include late afternoon and evening hours and Overtime and weekends as needed to provide support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hours or on weekends
  • Travel 25% of the time when requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, reaching and/or stooping.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds at times.
