We are looking for a motivated Writer to join the # 1 National Cable Morning Show, Fox & Friends, and Fox & Friends First. As the Writer, you’ll write compelling and conversational copy to pull viewers in on a wide variety of topics.
You will be offered the following shift:
Thursday-Monday, 1 AM ET - 9 AM ET
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Efficiently and accurately write and produce multiple compelling headlines at once
Write scripts and banners
Cut video and sound bites; produce graphics
Consistently meet firm deadlines on multiple assignments
Work with reporters on their hits while following guidance from the show’s senior producer
Flag producers about updates on your assignments, including breaking news developments and new visual elements
Collaborate with the show’s head writer, copy editor, and writing team
Think outside the box to tell a story
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
At least one year of writing and/or television experience
Exceptional scriptwriting skills, news judgment, and grammar
Flexibility to work overnight hours
Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and history
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is study preferred, or equivalent experience
