As a Locum Anesthesiologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position is perfect for those looking to make a significant impact in a short-term capacity while gaining valuable experience in various clinical settings. 

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes
• Provide preoperative assessments and postoperative care
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams and patients
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Participate in continuous education and training programs

Requirements

• Associate degree in Anesthesia Technology or related field
• Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant
• Strong understanding of anesthesia principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7a-5p

No call shifts

Caseload: OB/GYN, ortho, general, urology, podiatry, and minimal pediatrics; no cardiac, neuro, or vascular cases

Team Structure: 4 MDs, 4 AAs

1:1 medical direction

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
