What we’re looking for…

• Entry Writer with 3-5 years of entry writing experience and familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations. 
• Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry. 
• Cargowise is a plus.

About the Position Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Prepares customs entries for all import shipments to be submitted to and released from U.S. Customs in a timely manner.
• Ensures that all entries are properly classified by using tools such as company profiles, CROSS (Customs Rulings Online Search System), Internet and communicating with the Importer of record.
• Creates invoices for duty and entry charges to be sent to the Billing Department.
• Develops and maintains customer profiles based on the customer’s shipment history.
• Coordinates with customers to classify new commodities per according to HTS.
• Answers any Brokerage related inquiries internally and externally.

Work Schedule

New York Office 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST (Rotational overtime on Sundays)

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with Microsoft Office.

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of entry writing experience.

Salary

$55,000-$65,000 annually based on education and experience level.
